Pastor David Ivie
The Rev. David Ivie is a second-career pastor. He had a career in business (mostly with Chili’s and Brinker International) before entering the ministry.
He has served churches in Muscatine, Iowa and Garland, Texas. He began his service at First Presbyterian of Forney in February 2015.
David was born in Dallas and grew up in Forney, TX. David was raised Baptist and received his Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Baylor University. David enjoys music: pipe organ recitals, sacred choral music, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and the Beatles. David loves to read and tries to watch as many movies as possible. He believes baseball is the best game God has created and his favorite team is the Chicago Cubs.
David has three children. He and his wife Tracy were married in 2022, having met online during the COVID-19 quarantine.
