What We Do

Our church is centered on 3 essential practices: worship, fellowship/discipleship, and service. This page highlights how we “serve our community.”

Our Key Ministries

School Uniform Exchange: We operate the School Uniform Exchange from our building. In cooperation with Forney ISD, we provide dress code shirts, pants, and shorts to Forney ISD students. We also deliver requested uniforms to school campuses as requested by staff.

Christmas Service Project

We organize a local mission project each Advent and Christmas, responding to local needs..

Community Garden: Our community garden produces vegetables both spring and fall, with all produce donated to the Forney Food Pantry.

Blessings and Backpacks (now Project Backpack): In August 2010 we started our largest single annual mission project. In 2019, the ministry morphed into Project Backpack under the leadership of the Forney Education Foundation. We continue to provide financial support, serving our Forney families!

Last year (the 2023-2024 school year) we gave away 5,772 dress code items, helping nearly 800 Forney ISD students. Already this year, we have helped 752 students from 197 Forney families with 5,061 dress code items, 831 non-dress code items (jackets, sweaters, spirit wear items) and 1,364 socks, saving Forney families well over $25,000!
